Max Papart PortraitMax Papart worked in a decorative post-cubist style, yet one which contained an element of realism. He briefly attended the School of Fine Art in Marseille , preferring to teach himself to paint. He exhibited at the Salon of Independent and produced his first prints. His first solo exhibition was held at the gallery office in Paris in 1938In 1970, he completed his technique of engraving to etching by providing carborundum according to the technique invented in 1968 by his friend Henri Goetz.
